About

Anna Mays (b.1998) is a visual artist from Dublin, Ireland. She uses printmaking in both traditional and experimental ways, pushing the boundaries of the medium and using it for sculpture and installation. Her work looks at the modern perception of the human body in western society and the lost connection with our natural selves at a time of rapidly advancing science and technology.

Anna studied Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Brighton and graduated with a first class honours in 2020. She was awarded the State of the Art Graduate Award 2020, Printmaking Today. During 2021, she was awarded a three-month production residency at the Belfast Print Workshop. This ended in her first solo-show Disembodied at the Belfast Print Workshop Gallery. Anna is currently based in Belfast and is a member of Flax Studios and the Belfast Print Workshop
